What do HopeCycle volunteers do?

From fixing bikes to assisting in administrative needs, there are numerous opportunities to donate your time to HopeCycle’s mission of fostering hope and community through the opportunity of a bicycle! See below for our current volunteering opportunities:

The HopeCycle Shop™ is the heart of our organization’s outreach; where the highest of standards for each HopeCycle bicycle starts and ends. There are plenty of ways for you to make a lasting impact, including:

  • Bicycle detailing
  • Part stripping and cleaning
  • Donation intaking
  • Shop maintenance
  • Inventory and ordering
  • Operations assistance
  • Shop-specific administration
  • Sales assistance

All HopeCycle Shop™ volunteers must first attend a volunteer orientation and submit an application (given at orientation)

Do you have bike mechanic experience and are ready to dive right in to help our cause? Are you looking for opportunities to expand your skills working alongside our master mechanics? Are you a professional mechanic looking for ways to give back to the community? We have a place for you!

Please email volunteer@hopecycle.org with your contact info and how you’d like to help and someone from our Bike Mechanics Team will contact you as soon as possible.

HopeCycle makes regular pickups and drop-offs with our bike donation network and various programs. Our fleet of box trucks are as easy and safe to drive as a typical moving truck and do not require special licensing. If you are interested in joining our Driver Team or have any questions, please email volunteer@hopecycle.org.

From database updating to bookkeeping assistance, thank you card writing to scheduling, there are many ways for you to help us spread HOPE where it is needed most! If you are interested in joining our volunteer administrative team, please email volunteer@hopecycle.org.
